The MT3000 is based on a real modular design concept to provide the greatest possible flexibility for a comprehensive testing of metering installations in the field. The stable casing made of aluminium frames looks appealing and supports the functionality of the system. A coloured 10.4'' TFT display visualizes the high quality of the system.
The MT3000 system is distinguished by its excellent menu guided operation via the built in soft-keys and the coloured 10.4'' TFT-display. Because of the real modular design concept the MT3000 system comprises of various interchangeable modules to configure the system individually according to customer requirements. A system upgrade by adding various modules with new functionality can be easily done at any time without opening the calibration seal.
Control of Switching Operations
With the help of vector diagrams the correct wiring in meter installations is ensured. Errors in the wiring are the most frequently occuring errors and can result in high financial losses at the carriers side.
Functions
-
Vector diagram display of quantities
-
Power and energy measurement of active, reactive and apparent energy
-
Frequency-, phase angle- and power factor measurement
-
Rotary field display
Network analysis
Network analysis is for testing the net qualitiy. Interfering sources e. g. can necessitate an extension of the net or lead to wrong measurements.
Functions
-
Distortion factor measurement
-
Waveform sampling
-
Harmonic waveform analysis for voltage and current up to the 40th THD
-
Selective power measurement
Error measurement under customer load
With the error measurement the measuring mechanism is tested on correct functioning.
Functions
-
Testing of electricity meter installations with 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-wire circuits
-
4 quadrant measurement
Register measurement under customer load
With the register measurement the meter's register are tested on correct functioning.
Functions
-
Testing of energy and power registers
Transformer test
The transformer test controlls the correct functioning of the instrument transformer. Amongst other aspects, a wrong burden or short circuits at the transformer may lead to errors in the meter's power measurement.
Functions
-
Determination of the operating burden on instrument transformers for CT and PT
-
Ratio test by simultaneous measurement of both primary and secondary currents in CT connected metering systems
Automatic testing (optional)
With Reference meter you can use the MT360 for automatic meter testing. The function provides editing and execution of test sequences for testing electricity meters.
Functions
The device is used for on site testing of meter installations with given customer load.
